More than 6,980 hate crimes were recorded in Sweden in 2015, a rise of 11 percent compared to 2014 and the highest number of reports recorded so far.
As in previous years, the xenophobic / racist motive is ever-prevalent in the reports, followed by an incidence of hate crimes motivated by sexual orientation.
