Antwerp – the words “Jews, Jews, Jews” were sprayed on the door of a Jewish family in a residential building in Antwerp.
The Jewish family lived in Belgium for many years, and next week they were supposed to enter their new apartment in the building. The family said that probably one of the neighbors in the building, who knew that the family was supposed to move into the flat in the coming days, sprayed the graffiti in order to intimidate and express their antisemitic view.
The family called the police immediately. They have opened an investigation today.
“We came to see the apartment since we are moving in next week and we were amazed to find the graffiti. We called the police immediately they are now investigating the incident” said a family member to news 0404.
“I live in Belgium since I was born and have never encountered this kind of antisemitic event. This shows that anti-Semitism is rising and the truth is, that our place as the Jewish people, is only in Israel” said a family member.
