Swastika painted onto Victorian Village buildings

Victorian
Village, Columbus, OH
– Columbus police are looking into reports of racist
graffiti found on a home and building in Victorian Village.

Two
women who live in one of the homes found the graffiti of a swastika this
morning on their porch.

“It’s a symbol that automatically
means hatred, ” said one of the roommates who does not want to be
identified.

She
says her roommate is Jewish and can’t believe anyone would do this.

“No matter if it was someone who as
just messing around or somebody who really believes in this ideology, it’s
unacceptable, ” the roommate said.

Their
home wasn’t the only one tagged. A church on Neil Avenue was also spray painted
with a swastika.

Neighbors
says this type of hatred isn’t welcome in their neighborhood.

“It’s shocking,” says Cindy Fath,
“I can’t believe it. This day and age, you’d think we’d moved beyond
that.”
