Man assaults NYPD officers while being arrested for antisemitic incidents

Harlem,
NY
– A ranting hate crime suspect pulled a knife on two NYPD detectives,
cutting one in the head as they tried to search his East Harlem apartment, cops
said Thursday.

Oliver
Stewart-Vukicevic, 26, repeatedly screamed out, “I’m going to kill that fucking
cop! Fuck you, you German Nazis!” as he resisted arrest, police sources said.

The
two Hate Crimes detectives came calling at Stewart-Vukicevic’s apartment on
Madison Ave. near E. 117th St. just after 4 p.m. Wednesday to investigate a
series of antisemitic letters that were posted on the building’s halls and
doorways, sources said.

They
had a warrant to search Stewart-Vukicevic’s apartment, but he burst out with a
3-inch kitchen knife in his hand and attacked.

Stewart-Vukicevic
was hit with multiple charges, including attempted murder, felony assault and
15 counts of stalking and aggravated harassment, cops said.

He
was hospitalized after the arrest, and has yet to be arraigned in Manhattan
criminal court.
