Police release video of man who threw makeshift Molotov cocktail at yeshiva students

Police released
surveillance video Tuesday showing a man they suspect threw a Molotov cocktail
at a group of Yeshiva students in Manhattan
.


NYPD
said the perpetrator approached the group as they stood in front of 356
West 37 St. just after 1:30 p.m. Friday and tossed a glass bottle
containing flammable liquid and a burning rag in their direction. The bottle
shattered and started a fire, police said.

 

The culprit ran
away from the scene, heading south on Ninth Avenue. No one was hurt
in the attack, police said.

 

The suspected
attacker is described as about 5 feet 9 inches tall and was last wearing a
backpack, police said.

 

An
investigation is underway.
