Teenager fined for sending antisemitic message on Twitter to Lord Sugar

Preston, Lancashire – A teenager who sent an antisemitic message
on Twitter to Lord Sugar has been ordered to pay the business magnate
compensation.

The 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, sent offensive
messages to The Apprentice star earlier this year.

The teenager, from Preston, Lancashire, admitted sending a message,
which began ‘old Jewish’ followed by a swear word, at Chelmsford Magistrates’
Court on Wednesday, July 29.

He was ordered to pay £100 in compensation, £85 in costs and was told he
must complete an eight month referral to a youth offender panel.

After the sentencing, Lord Sugar posted on Twitter today: “One of
my Twitter racial abusers was convicted yesterday at Chelmsford Magistrates
Court. Very well done @EssexPoliceUK for tracking him down”.
