Rindge – Police are investigating antisemitic graffiti at two
properties on Lake Contoocook, one a home up for sale, and the other an
unoccupied summer property.
Properties on Blakeville Road and Hemlock Avenue were vandalized, and
Rindge police say the two incidents, which they believe occurred sometime
between April 8 and April 11, are related.
At the Blakeville Road property, police responding to a report of a
burglary on April 12 found antisemitic graffiti.
“The word ‘Hitler’ and a swastika
were spray-painted on the house,” said Police Chief Todd Muilenberg. A shed was
broken into and a van on the property was vandalized as well. When police
followed footprints from the scene, they discovered additional graffiti at a
home on Hemlock Avenue, the chief said. At the Hemlock Avenue property, police
found two instances of graffiti: “Jews live here” and “[Expletive deleted] the
Jews.”
