Antisemitic hateful inscriptions

Punta
del Este
– written in large black letters, inscriptions like “Jews, get out
of Punta del Este” and others were seen, even near the synagogue located at the
area of station 13 at Playa Mansa.

Until
now none of the local or national organizations of the Jewish community has
spoken publically against these hateful inscriptions, although a complaint has
been filed with the Punta Del Este’s police.

These
inscriptions were discovered on acrylic advertisement panels in several bus
stops in Playa Mansa, between the 1 and 6 stops, as well as on walls and other
areas around the synagogue.

Around
the synagogue located on Montevideo Street, in addition to insulting and
injuring statements, a reverse swastika had been drawn.
