Man wearing a Kippah beaten

Charlottenburg,
Berlin
– An 18-years old young man wearing a kippah was victim of an
antisemitic attack in Charlottenburg, Berlin. The police announced on Friday
that an unknown person had hit him in the face. His glasses fell and the unknown
person stepped on them. The youngster escaped into the nearby synagogue.
Immediately following the incident, he went on Thursday to the police to file a
complaint. He told the policemen that he had been beaten because he was wearing
a kippah. The Department for the Defense of the State took upon itself to
investigate the matter. In Berlin and in other cities there have been in the
past days several incidents motivated by antisemitism.
The incidents are probably a reaction to the war in Gaza.
