A. Maizek has denounced anti-Semitic slogans that were uttered during
demonstrations against Israeli attacks on the Gaza strip. ”Anyone who preaches
or thinks he must spread anti-Semitism during the war in Gaza – has nothing to
seek in our community”, said Maizek in Köln
on Wednesday to the DPA news agency. Maizek called on the demonstrators and the
public to “keep a sharp distinction” between “legitimate criticism of Israel’s
military intervention in Gaza and antisemitic expressions”.
