Jerusalem – Jerusalem police are investigating the torching of a parochet [curtain for Ark holding the Torah scrolls -ed.], Friday morning, in a synagogue in the northern Jerusalem neighborhood of Pisgat Ze’ev. The curtain and the ark suffered light damage.
Worshipers detected the smoke from outside the synagogue and quickly extinguished the fire.
