Muslims hurled stones at a synagogue

Borough Park – youngsters of Arab origin attacked yesterday a synagogue in Borough Park hurling stones at it.

The worshippers at the Beth Midrash in Borough Park neighborhood panicked when stones were thrown at the glass door of the Beth Midrash and shattered it.

Yoel Landau, the Gabbay (warden) of the Beth Midrash, which is located at Avenue F in the district, tells: “We were in the middle of the afternoon prayer (MIncha), the Beth Midrash was full. All of a sudden we heard the noise of shattering glass and glass splinters flew everywhere. Panic started in the Beth Midrash and it turned out that two Arab youngsters had thrown stones at the Beth Midrash.

The two escaped into a business establishment and some of the worshippers were quick to follow them, blocked the entrance to the establishment and called the police.”

The police arrested the two youngsters.
