Brussels – Océane Sluijzer, a 13-year old Jewish girl was about to leave the sport center in Neder-Over-Hembeek in Brussels together with her girlfriend after a sport class that took place there.
At the exit, an argument started between them and five other girls (of Moroccan origin) who had also participated in the class. The Jewish girl said that she was tired of hearing insults directed towards herself and her family members and went on her way.
The Moroccan girls yelled at her several times “shut your mouth”. The group’s leader said to her friends “she is only a dirty Jewess”, approached the Jewish girl and slapped her twice.
When the Jewish girl tried to leave the place the group’s leader shouted at her ”shut your mouth and go back to your country”. All five Moroccan girls pounced upon her, pulled her hair and beat her on the head and the knees. She was hit all over her body. She tried to protect herself, but could not move.
She is suffering a mental and physical shock and has filed a complaint with the Brussels police. The girls were identified and summoned for investigation.
