Britain – Violent incidents, October 2011 (6 incidents)

02/10/2011 Salford     

A group of local youths threw a toilet through the window of a Yeshiva.

The occupants of the building came out to see what was going on, and a fight ensued causing two Yeshiva students to be punched in the face.

The police arrived on scene and three individuals were arrested.

 

04/10/2011 Manchester

A visibly Jewish family were at the petrol station and while the daughter was filling up the car, her mother went to pay.    

On route to pay, the victim walked behind a vehicle which reversed into her, hitting her in the leg and causing her to fall to the floor.

Her husband got out of their car to attend to his wife and the two occupants of the vehicle which reversed, got out and shouted “dirty Jew” at the family. The offenders then spat at the victims before getting back into their car and driving away.

 

14/10/2011 Edgware, Middlesex

The victim, who is visibly Jewish, was approached outside a Synagogue by a man who knocked off the victims hat and ran off with it.       

The victim and another member of the congregation chased the man and cornered him. The offender then threw the hat at the victim and ran off.

 

23/10/2011 Manchester

The victim was leaving Synagogue when he was hit on the leg by an egg thrown from a passingvehicle. He heard something shouted at him but could not make out what was said.

 

26/10/2011 Manchester

The reporter was in a supermarket and witnessed a white male with blond hair driving a disabled shoppers cart. He saw the man drive into an orthodox Jewish male shopper. He did this continually until the Jewish man moved out his way.    

The reporter then saw the offender follow the Jewish man and shout “Jew, Jew, Jew”,  and comment to another shopper that “those Jews are always in the way.”

The reporter approached the man and asked him what his problem was. The offencer asked him “don’t you hate them as well?”

The reporter asked the store security staff to take action but they claimed not to have seen anything.

 

31/10/2011 London

The victim was leaving a function at a Jewish school and was walking to his car when an egg was thrown at him, which hit him in the chest.

The victim saw a car pass at the same time, and believes the egg was thrown from this vehicle. He then followed the car to where it parked in a driveway of a house and saw that the occupants were a
