Hamas says that the Arab Peace Initiative Monitoring Committee’s May 28 response to the speech by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the U.S. Congress was weak, and encouraged the Zionist occupation to continue its settlement and Judaization activity.
In his column in the Hamas newspaper Falastin, Issam Shawer called for awakening from the illusion of peace with Israel and acting to remove “the Zionist occupation from every inch of Palestine… in all possible ways, including disproving their false version of history, from the lie of the Holocaust of six million Jews to the falsehood that Palestine is the land of their forefathers.”
