Lampard wants end to antisemitic chanting at the Stamford Bridge

Frank Lampard wants Chelsea fans to cut out all antisemitic chanting when Tottenham visit Stamford Bridge at the end of the month.

In recent seasons, the fixture has been tainted by racist taunts, and Lampard thinks it’s time to put a lid on it.

He said: “For some reason some fans still shout the Y-word. Some might think it’s just a bit of a laugh. But racist chanting is against the law.

“It’s against the law to call someone the Y-word on the street.

“So if in the game people fancy joining in with what they think is a bit of harmless chanting, think again.”
