On 14th April 2002, two members of the “Hizb al-Tahrir” organization were arrested in the southern town of Turkestan on charges of distributing anti-Jewish and anti-Israel leaflets. The following statements appear in the leaflets: “Kill the Jews on the spot wherever you find them, and drive them out of everywhere. Muslims, if you assist Allah, if you declare a Jihad on the Jews in the name of Allah, then God will assist you and will grant you strength on the holy battle field….”
