On 18th April 2002, someone called the Jewish Community building in Athens and said that a bomb had been placed in the building. The building was evacuated and the police scanned the site with no results. It should be noted that the atmosphere on the streets of Athens regarding the Jews has become unpleasant because of events in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
