On 6th April 2002, a pro-Palestinian demonstration was held in Dublin during which the flags of Israel and the United States were burnt. The demonstrators carried banners and posters with anti-Israeli and anti-Jewish content. The Star of David was equated with the swastika and the posters read: “Zionism is terrorism”! “Victory to the Intifadah”! and “Stop the Palestinian holocaust”!
