Britain – London – Attack on and Desecration of a Synagogue in London

On the night of 27th April 2002, a synagogue in the Finsbury Park-North London was attacked, suffering extremely serious damage. The synagogue’s windows were smashed, swastikas were sprayed on its walls and green paint was splashed everywhere including at the Holy Ark. The vandals destroyed books and religious artifacts, ripped up prayer shawls and stomped on them, broke into the rabbi’s private cupboard and even urinated and defecated in the entry hall.
