At about 01:00 A.M. on 1st April 2002, five Molotov Cocktails were thrown at the synagogue on Clinique St. in the Anderlecht section of Brussels. The Molotov Cocktails flew in through the second-storey windows into the women’s gallery and set the benches on fire. The fire fighters and the police quickly arrived at the scene, broke open the synagogue’s doors and brought the fire under control. There were no casualties and only slight damage.
