Saudi Arabia – Blood Libel in a Saudi Newspaper

Professor Umaya Ahmad Galhana, in an article appearing in the official Saudi newspaper Riyad in March 2002, raises anew the spectre of the old blood libel and writes: “In honor of the holidays of Purim and Passover, the Jews must prepare “oznei haman” and “matzot” from the blood of Muslim or Christian boys…The victim must be a mature Muslim or Christian boy. They dry his blood to a state of granules which are then mixed by a religious cleric into dough. On the other hand during the slaughter for Passover, they must use the blood of Muslim or Christian boys no more than ten years old. How do they kill their victims? They use a man-sized barrel on whose inside protrude needles which puncture the victim’s body from the moment he is placed in the barrel.
