On 5 January 2002, stones and Molotov Cocktails were thrown at a synagogue in the Parisian suburb of Goussainville. The synagogue’s windows were smashed. This happened in the course of a violent clash between the police and some local youths. Stones had been thrown at the synagogue in the past by local residents.
