Retrial of Man Suspected of Antisemitic Motivated Murder

The retrial has begun of Steven Tielsch suspected in the 1986 murder of Neal Rosenbaum, an orthodox Jew in Pittsburgh. Tielsch has already been tried for the offense, but his first trial ended in a hung jury. The prosecution is basing its case on the testimony of prison informers who have testified that Tielsch bragged that he hated Jews so much, he murdered a rabbi. The prisoners also claimed that Tielsch had drawn a swastika on his forehead and admitted that he had perpetrated murder.
