Vandals smeared antisemitic graffiti on the wall of the new synagogue in Dresden. The synagogue was consecrated on 9 November, exactly 63 years after the original one had been destroyed by the Nazi conflagration on “Crystal Night”. The German police said that they suspected that it was neo-Nazis who had defiled the synagogue over the weekend.
