On 28th May 2002, skinheads attacked a Jewish youth wearing a skullcap as he was on his way to morning prayers at the “Choral” Synagogue in Moscow. The 16 year-old youth is the son of Rabbi Voronezh. He struggled with his attackers with a knife he was carrying, and they fled. However, the boy’s nose was broken and he required hospital treatment.
