Belgium – Holocaust Victims and their Heirs to Receive Reparations for Property Stolen During the Holocaust
An agreement in principle on reparations to Holocaust victims and their heirs for property stolen during the Holocaust has been signed between the Belgian Government and the Belgian Jewish Community. The agreement was reached following a lengthy struggle waged by the World Jewish Organization for the Return of Property and the Jewish Community. This is an agreement in principle and the level of reparations and how they are to be divided up will be determined at a later date.
