On 7th July 2002, another antisemitic poster, rigged to a hand grenade and reading “Death to the Kikes”, exploded when two people tried to take it down. The incident occurred in the Tomsk Oblast in Russia, and the two suffered injuries. This is the third such incident in Russia in which antisemitic road signs were booby-trapped. The Chief Rabbi of Russia called on President Putin to employ vigorous measures to end this phenomenon.
