In early July 2002, an antisemitic leaflet was disseminated in the Andijan region of Uzbekistan by the Islamic organization “Hizb-a-Tahrir”. The leaflet dealt with “Karimov’s Jewish mother” (a total fabrication), and with Zionist influence over him and also related to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
