A poem was published in the establishment Al-Akhbar daily in the Letters-to-the-Editor column which read: “The source of resentment and treachery is Israel, where one finds the spy and the usurer generation after generation. The Lord cursed them in the Koran, they tortured Moses and falsified the Bible and they continue to aspire to borders from the Nile to the Euphrates”.
