In a virulently antisemitic article in the 2nd January 2003 edition of Al-Midan, Iyhab al-Badawi strongly attacked Osama al-Baz for his three articles (against antisemitism). In Iyhab’s opinion, persecution of the Jews in Europe had its roots in the “Jewish ghetto policies” and the Jews’ separatism and concentration in the ghettos. He claims that the manner in which the Jews described themselves in “The Protocols of the Elders of Zion” is accurate and fits in with the detailed instructions in the Talmud. Therefore, in his view, the blood libels are probably also true.
