On 17th April 2002, an unidentified caller phoned a television station and threatened that a bomb will explode in an Israeli Independence Day parade that was to take place. On 24th April, an unidentified caller phoned the Federation of the Jewish Appeal in Toronto and threatened to blow up the Jews.
