On 31st March 2002, a demonstration was held opposite the Great Synagogue in St. Petersburg. The demonstrators carried posters reading: “Israel, get out of Palestine”. There were about 30 participants in the demonstration which lasted about an hour and ended without incident. The demonstration was under the supervision of the police.
