On 4th December 2002, a group of skinheads from the Hungarian Revisionist Movement interrupted a Hanukkah ceremony organized at the Nyugati Square in Budapest by the Habad Movement. They shouted epithets such as “Hungary is ours” at the participants in the ceremony. The police did not intervene since both assemblies (the Habad’s and the skinheads’) had been licenced by the police. However, the police are investigating the incident and dismissed the police who was in charge of the event.
