On 24th February 2003, a member of the Jewish Agency Youth Club in Tashkent reported an antisemitic incident in which he had been involved as he was leaving his house a week previously. Acid was thrown on his face and he was handed a hate letter which read: “You are a dead Jew. You are a thief and you are still alive today. This time the dose will be even bigger, you will pay for everything, you are being followed every day. There are many of us and we will catch you near school or on your way home. We will not leave you alone until we kill you”!
