Hungary – Antisemitic Epithets at a Meeting of the Radical Right

On 15th March 2003, the annual meeting of the radical right-wing MIEP Party was held in Heroes Square in Budapest. Some 2000 people participated in the meeting. In his speech, Party leader Istvan Csurka spoke out against Hungary’s joining the European Union. In the course of the meeting antisemitic epithets were shouted and the United States flag was torn to shreds.
