On 23rd March 2003, a member of Habad who was on his way to a wedding at a synagogue was attacked on one of the main streets in Berlin. The man, who was easily identified because of his traditional garb, was attacked by a group of Arabs and suffered minor injuries to his face. The attackers fled the scene following the attack. A complaint was made to the police, but so far the attackers have not been found.
