On 13th March 2003, as an Orthodox Jewish man approached he gate of the synagogue in Noisy Le Sec in Paris, he heard the sound of a speeding automobile. Policemen who were present there shouted to the man to watch out, and he managed to jump over the synagogue’s fence. The attacking driver was caught in a traffic jam and was arrested by the police. He was charged with attempted murder.
