On 25th April 2003, a group of Arabs attacked a number of Jewish youths in Sydney. At about 02.30 hours, nine Jewish youths came out of a casino and walked in two groups toward the parking garage. Three Arab men approached four of the Jews in the elevator shouting antisemitic epithets at them in Arabic. The Jewish youths got out of the elevator and began looking for security guards. When the remaining five members of the group reached their car, two men of Middle Eastern appearance came towards them shouting epithets. One of these men who was apparently under the influence of alchohol or drugs hit one of the Jews in the head. Another youth was thrown to the ground and severely beaten up. The attackers fled the scene, and the youth who had been beaten up was rushed to the hospital.
