On 22nd May 2003, shouts of “dirty Jew” were directed at worshippers as they were leaving prayers in the synagogue in Fontenay Sous Bois in Paris by a group of young thugs about 15-16 years old. One of the worshippers who asked them politely why they were cursing them was hit with a fist. The attackers crossed the iron gates, followed the worshippers and threw stones at them. A complaint was made.
