On 11th May 2003, a young Jewish girl on her way home was attacked by six young thugs at the metro station near the Rex Cinema in Paris. When her attackers noticed that she was Jewish, they cursed her, threw a stone at her and then spat on her. The attack on her stopped only when one of the passersby intervened.
