Some time during the month of April 2003, in Avignon, three young thugs of North African appearance shouted curses at a young Jewish woman who was wearing a Star of David. They ran after her along the main street in the town and threatened her. All this happened in the middle of the day, and the young girl found refuge from them in one of the shops.
