Brazil – Confiscation of Racist Material

On 10th October 2003, police raided the Brazilian branch of the antisemitic racist organization KKK (Ku Klux Klan), confiscated two computers and closed down their offical Internet site. The police also confiscated the organization’s propaganda material and books from the home of an 18-year-old member of the organization. The youth claimed that he was operating with the approval of the heads of the organization in the United States with the aim of setting up a branch in Brazil. The police are now interrogating the people whose names the boy gave them.
