In reaction to statements made by the Speaker of the Israeli Knesset, Mr. Reuven Rivlin, in which he accused the Lithuanian People of murdering Jews and stealing their property, vandals poured acid on a number of cars owned by Jews, and various antisemitic remarks were heard in the media, including “Let’s kill the Jews” and “We won’t let them take our blood to make matzot”.
