The Czech Republic – Antisemitic Shouts at a Radical Right Demonstration Near Prague

On 14th November 2003, a neo-Nazi gathering was held in the town of Vehlovice, near Prague. Some 100 activists participated in the gathering, all of them leaders of skinhead groups, some of whom had been arrested in the past for racist activities. “Agrese 95”, the most antisemitic pop group in the Czech Republic performed, antisemitic slogans were shouted and antsemitic songs were sung. Towards the end of the gathering, all of the participants sang “Let’s go burn the Jews’ synagogue”! Some 80 policemen were present at the gathering, but they did nothing to stop the antisemitic epithets.
