In his campaign in the up-coming elections to the Duma (the Russian Parliament) to be held in December 2003, Nikolai Kontratenko, no. 2 on the Communist Party list and former Governor of the Krasnodar region, differentiated between “good Jews” and “bad Zionists”. He drew parallels between Zionism and Nazism.
