On 17th November 2003, the Egyptian independent weekly AlUsbu`, published the remarks of Dr. Yousef Zidan, the Director of Manuscripts at the National Museum in Alexandria according to which he had decided to include “The Protcols of the Elders of Zion” in a display of the holy scriptures of the monotheistic religions alongside the Torah. According to Zidan, despite the fact that reference is not to the holy scriptures of monetheistic religion, it has become one of the sacred works of the Jews and they are conducting “their Zionist lives”in keeping with it.
