After Swedish Liberal Party leader Lars Leijonborg had received 7 antisemitic e-mail letters, the protection around him was increased. The letters referred to “The Protocols of the Elders of Zion”. A man about 50 years old was arrested by the police on suspicion of having sent the letters. He claimed that the politicians are deceiving the Swedish People and that all of the country’s troubles are caused by the immigrants. He said that he hated Jews in particular. The incident received wide media coverage.
