USA – An Antisemitic Poster on a Church in Denver

Following the Premier of Mel Gibson’s film The Passion of Christ, a poster appeared on the grounds of a church located on a busy highway in Denver. The poster read: Jews Killed the Lord Jesus. A Jewish woman, a resident of Denver, heard about the poster and decided to do something about it. She went to the church, knocked on the door with the purpose of talking to the priest who had put up the poster; the priest did not come to the door. The woman went to a nearby hardware store, bought a ladder, went back to the poster and removed the word Jews. In the evening, the Jewish community held a vigil near that church, until one of the church’s trustees took the rest of the poster down.
