Australia – Smashing of the Front Door of a Synagogue in Sydney

On 15th January 2005, the rabbi of the Cremorne Synagogue in Sydney awoke to noise coming from the direction of the synagogue. When he went to investigate, he saw that a man had passed through the synagogue’s gates and was standing next to the synagogue’s glass entrance door hitting it with a large block of wood. The vandal tried to leave the place when the rabbi attempted to struggle with him. However, he did manage to run away, but left behind articles of his clothing.
